We are currently hiring for an Environmental Coordinator at our West Liberty, Iowa facility.

Job Summary:

Environmental Coordinator maintains control of all environmental records.  The Environmental Coordinator will coordinate implementation and adherence to environmental standards and landfill free status at all of our facilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Data entry and administration duties of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Corrective Action Requests (CAR) databases.
  • Lead plant team members with internal audits and assist with external audits of both ISO 14001 and Landfill Free.
  • Coordinate and manage the EMS system and landfill Free (LFF) system.  
  • Coordinate with vendors on disposal and/or pick up of waste as needed to ensure LFF status is maintained.
  • Facilitator and note taker of CORE team meetings at all facilities and maintains documentation of all action items from these meetings.
  • Manage the ISO 14001 website and update information from CORE team meetings.
  • Maintain environmental records and filing of all records.
  • Lead or assist with waste water sampling at all facilities.  
  • Participate on the Hazmat Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must have an attention to detail.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred.
  • ISO experience is preferred.
  • RAB Certified Auditor training is preferred.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Computer experience is required.  Experience with Google Suite a plus.
  • Must practice good personal hygiene.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Work extended hours, weekends and overtime if needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
