We are currently hiring for a Research and Development Project Leader for for our Bolingbrook, Illinois facility.

Research and Development Project Leader will be responsible for conducting research aligned with business needs for the purpose of new product development, new process development, process improvement, technical sales support, and troubleshooting.  Provide technical expertise and leadership for new product development for product line growth, process development for new capabilities and cost reduction efforts.

  • Conduct research in connection with new product development.
  • Conduct research in connection with process development and process improvement.
  • Manage projects related to new product development.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in relation to new products and processes.
  • Provide direction on costs reduction efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Meat Science or related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related research and development experience is preferred.
  • HACCP and meat and nutritional labeling requirements is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team of resourceful and skilled team members.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Advanced computer skills including Google Suite.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
