The Liberty Cold Sales & Business Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, building, and maintaining relationships with key customer contacts while evaluating new business opportunities and potential customers.  The Liberty Cold Sales & Business Manager will be involved in managing the sale of warehouse space and ancillary services through service development, contract negotiations and customer service and support.  This position will maintain close connection with all clients to insure the LC promise of Service. Value. Friendships. is maintained and customers feel the relationship with Liberty Cold is a positive experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and sell warehouse space and ancillary services through service development, contract negotiations and customer service and support.
  • Work autonomously to develop new customers for warehouse space and ancillary services.
  • Manage and grow existing Customers for warehouse space and ancillary services.
  • Conduct market research on industry conditions and rate structure in the cold storage warehouse space by maintaining a market condition database.
  • Strategic analysis and planning.  Analyze and recommend long-term strategic initiatives to drive long-term company growth.
  • Work with cost accounting to develop pricing.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service on service level opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all necessary reports and records pertaining to proposals and accounts.
  • Maintain full working knowledge of Liberty Cold’s warehouse and cold storage capabilities and all offered ancillary services.
  • Special projects as requested or assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing or relevant position is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the warehouse and cold storage capabilities and business.
  • Experience in transportation, carrier and brokerage management is preferred.
  • Understanding of motivational leadership, conflict resolution, and strong selling skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Additional experience in accounting, product management, customer service or marketing is also beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication.
  • Computer experience – Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities and focus on driving the business.
