Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing work plans for maintenance jobs, repairs, preventative maintenance schedules and installation of new equipment, with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of maintenance work to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop weekly work schedules for routine and corrective/breakdown maintenance activities for all non-emergency maintenance work.
  • Analyze work stoppages to identify and correct the underlying cause of recurring problems.  Generate maintenance performance metrics as assigned.
  • Organize and maintain equipment history files, equipment information and vendor literature to assist with planning activities in plant files both electronically and on paper.  Maintain complete and accurate records within the CMMS.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to develop PM/PDM program and coordinates maintenance and repair of plant equipment which impacts both production and quality.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities between all departments, with outside contractors, and among various work groups to ensure that jobs progress in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Certified Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Computer experience – Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Ability to work in a fast past environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
