We are currently searching for a Complex/Plant Manager for our Tremonton, Utah facility.

Job Summary: 

The Complex or Plant Manager is responsible for leading, directing and implementing operations strategies and objectives to assure the achievement of plant and companies goals are met.  To provide leadership and guidance to all team members and aid in administrating, managing safety and quality programs. Coordinate needed support to operations areas through intra-department interface for smooth workflow and cost efficient product.  To give direction of plant objectives, target goals with a clear understanding of how to obtain. To be the leader in driving cost reduction from plant direct and indirect cost of goods. To define and direct in capital project budget demands from a plant perspective.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have plant and company wide impact. Effectively leverages the leadership team to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges in the plant.
  • Establish objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity.
  • Mentor and develop leaders and staff.
  • Directly leverages and indirectly manages resources located at the plant in the areas of purchasing, finance, human resources, and information technology.
  • Own and deliver the operational budget for functional area, including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business  or equivalent is preferred.
  • Meat Science certification or education is preferred.
  • Computer experience - Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
  • Entrepreneurial problem solver and builder of partnerships.
  • Innovative and technically savvy.
  • Ability to identify systematic improvements and provide solutions.
  • Results driven leader - uses metrics and indicators to drive business decisions.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience managing a diverse team of developers, system administrators, security, etc.
  • Coaching and performance management experience a plus.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
