We are currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager at our Mount Pleasant, Iowa facility.

Job Summary: 

Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and training of all exempt and non-exempt team members involved in the quality function at a specific location.  The Quality Assurance Manager assures consistent quality of production by researching and assisting in developing and enforcing good manufacturing practices, validating processes, providing documentation, administration, designing and managing all quality functions.  This position will foster a proactive environment to reduce Food Safety risks and manage product quality.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by developing, tracking, training, coaching, counseling, communicating food safety expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing program and policy contributions; enforcing or assisting in implementing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves food safety and quality assurance objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; quality and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Interacts and manages relationships with local inspection, and manages food safety systems within the facilities. 
  • Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Validates quality processes by generating and monitoring data that measures quality attributes; documenting evidence; determining performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of QA, R and D and Operations management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Manages all quality teams for Bolingbrook, IL facilities, including but not limited to main, culinary, and external warehouse.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Human Resources role is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite platform.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Knowlege of timekeeping system such as Ultimate.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
