Job Description

Warehouse Superintendent is responsible for daily production of our customer program. The Warehouse Superintendent is responsible for ensuring KPI's and goals are met surrounding claims, quality check compliance, truck turn times, pick accuracy, labor efficiency (Picking, Receiving, Loading), team member retention and safety in the workplace. This position is responsible for staffing crews across 2-3 shifts and be the leader in the produce redistribution business. The successful candidate will understand the sense of urgency necessary to ensure distribution goals are met for the customer.


  • Drive and manage continual improvement of the process on the floor to increase efficiencies.
  • Ensure proper training and provide tools to allow team to operate in a successful manner.
  • Ensure 100% compliance on all required training is complete.
  • Develop metrics and proper reporting to team and management.
  • Partner with Human Resources on retention of current team members and recruiting of new team members.
  • Manage continues improvement projects to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Conduct audit of inventory receiving, team member processes and coach team members to make positive corrective actions to be more efficient.
  • Foster an environment of engagement with team.
  • Provide leadership to Production Supervisors that are assigned to customer account processes.
  • Operate in compliance with all plant and OSHA requirements.
  • Partner with supervisors to reduce team member concerns and promote a spirit of cooperation and among team members and between company and team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of leading a team, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MWS, TMS, ERP, BI Systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience.
  • Basic experience with email.
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Coaching and performance management experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including root cause analysis.
